Discontinuation of Visa Debit Card services

Following a strategic review of its products and services, The Mauritius Commercial Bank (Maldives) Private Limited (the “bank”) has decided to discontinue its card services, including merchant card acceptance services.

Your Visa Debit Card will therefore be deactivated on 30 September 2026. Until that date, your card will continue to operate normally and may be used in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions.

 After 30 September 2026, you will no longer be able to use your card for purchases, cash withdrawals or other card transactions. Please make alternative payment arrangements and update any subscriptions, recurring payments or card details registered with merchants before that date.

Transactions made before deactivation, including pending transactions, refunds, reversals and disputes, will continue to be processed in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions. Deactivation will not affect any rights, obligations or amounts which arose before that date.

 For customers within our Select segment, the bank is considering an alternative card solution. Its availability will be subject to applicable eligibility requirements and the Bank’s approval. Further details will be communicated once finalised.
